News 1 - New Delhi World Book Fair held at Pragati Maidan
The 44th edition of the New Delhi World Book Fair was held in New Delhi at Pragati Maidan. The theme of the fair was "Manushi" focusing on writings on and by women.
The 9-day-long fair, organised by National Book Trust in association with India Trade Promotion Organisation aimed to show and project the diversity of writings by women writers.
The focus of this Book Fair was on the 'Culture of Reading'.

The book titled “Dr. APJ Abdul Kalam: The People’s President”, penned by the President’s press secretary S M Khan was released in New Delhi. The book has lesser known facts and stories about the great Dr. Kalam.
Abdul Kalam was the 11th President of India from 2002 to 2007. He was known as the Missile Man of India for his work on the development of ballistic missile and launch vehicle technology. He was a recipient of several prestigious awards, including the Bharat Ratna, India's highest civilian honour.

Former wrestler and coach Mahavir Singh Phogat's Autobiography - Akhada: The Authorized Biography of Mahavir Singh Phogat was released. The book is written by sports journalist Saurabh Duggal.
This book traces Mahavir Phogat’s journey with his daughters and nieces winning medals for the country.
Mahavir Singh Phogat was awarded the Dronacharya Award by the Government of India.
The recently released Bollywood film Dangal is also based on Singh's life and his children's journey towards success.
News 4 - The 5-day Jaipur Literature festival held in Rajasthan
The Five-day Jaipur literature festival was held in Jaipur where many literature lovers participated. Popular poet Gulzar, spiritual Guru Jaggi Vasudev and Chief Minister Vasundhara Raje inaugurated the festival.
The five-day festival was witnessed with celebrated writers, thinkers, journalists, historians, poets, novelists and musicians where they discussed and shared their experiences with the audiences. Freedom to Dream was organized in the festival where writers discussed about their dreams and dreams of India.
