1 - Getachew Besha won full Pune International Marathon

Getachew Besha won the Full Marathon with the timing of 2 hours, 15 minutes and 15 seconds. Zelalem Lemmalemu claimed the second spot, with Deveje Kasaw finishing third. Amongst the Indian runners, Karan Singh stood first, followed by Kishor Gavane and Babasaheb Khillare. In Womens Half Marathon, Tisausa Basazin also from Ethiopia stood first with the timing of 1 hour, 23 minutes and 40 seconds. Sampada Buchade was the fastest Indian in the category. In the Men's Half marathon, Ethopians Mitku Dekeba and Abebe Tafesef bagged the first two positions.

2 - PM Modi emerged as most tweeted about world leader after US President

According to microblogging site Twitter, Prime Minister Narendra Modi has emerged as the most tweeted about world leader after US President Donald Trump this year. Twitter said, Mr Modi with 37.5 million followers is the second most tweeted about world leader, after Mr Trump with 44.1 million followers. Other world leaders to figure in the top-10 list include Venezuelan President Nicolas Maduro, Turkish President Recep Tayyip Erdogan, French President Emmanuel Macron and British Prime Minister Theresa May.

3 - Saudi Crown Prince won Time Person of the Year readers’ poll

Saudi Arabia’s Crown Prince Mohammed bin Salman has been voted Time magazine readers’ Person of the Year embarking on his bold social and economic reforms in Saudi Arabia. He won 24% of the votes. The prince has launched National Transformation Program 2020 and Vision 2030 which have been praised by experts all over the world. The prince also supported the movement to allow women to legally drive.

4 - Yuvraj Singh launched UNICEF-ICC's Adolescent Campaign

Yuvraj Singh will promote ‘Power of Sports to Shape the Future of Adolescents’ a joint initiative by UNICEF and the International Cricket Council for youngsters in South Asia. Yuvraj Singh was joined by Under-19 cricket stars from Afghanistan, Bangladesh, India, Pakistan and Sri Lanka. The panel discussed sports’ power to transform lives and communities.

5 - Diddy topped the List of 2017's Highest-Paid Musicians released by Forbes

According to the Forbes recently released annual Highest-Paid Musicians of 2017 list, Diddy [Sean Combs] was named the highest earner, raking in $130m. Second in the list was Beyonce who took home $105m in earnings.

According to the latest list released by Forbes, Michael Jordan has been named as the highest-paid athletes of all time. The retired basketball legend has £1.4billion in the bank. Tiger Woods comes in at No 2, with £1.27bn to his name. He is the only active athlete to be in the top ten. Arnold Palmer (Golf) is at third position with £1bn.

7 - Jitesh Singh Deo won Mr India World 2017 title

Jitesh Singh Deo of Lucknow has won the Mr India World 2017 title. He will now represent India at the Mr World competition. Prathamesh Maulingkar won the title of Peter England Mr India Supranational 2017. Abhi Khajuria and Pavan Rao won the titles of Peter England Mr India 1st Runner-Up and Peter England Mr India 2nd Runner-Up, respectively. The finale of the gala was judged by Bollywood actor Kangana Ranaut, designer Manish Malhotra and tennis player Mahesh Bhupathi, among others.

8 - François Gabart Sails Around the World in 42 Days and Breaks World Record

French sailor François Gabart, set a new world record for sailing solo around the world: 42 days, 16 hours, 40 minutes and 35 seconds. It is more than 6 days faster than the previous record, set a year earlier. The record was earlier held by French Thomas Coville. The record is subject to checks of the boat's black box and its GPS data before final confirmation by the World Sailing Speed Council.

9 - Shree Saini crowned Miss India USA 2017

Shree Saini has been crowned Miss India USA 2017. She is an anti-bullying activist and is a resident of Washington. Prachi Singh from Connecticut was declared the first runner-up and North Carolina's Fareena became the second runner-up. The event was held at the Royal Alberts Palace in Edison, New Jersey. Cancer surgeon Kavita Malhotra Pattani from Florida was crowned Mrs. India USA 2017. 17 years old Swapna Mannam from New Jersey was crowned Miss Teen India USA 2017.

10 - Salman Khan topped Forbes India Celebrity List 2017

Salman Khan has topped the Forbes India Celebrity 100 list for the second consecutive year. Shah Rukh Khan and Virat Kohli were second and third respectively in the list. Akshay Kumar was at 4th position. Salman earned ?232.83 crore. Shah Rukh Khan had an earning of ?170.5 crore while Virat Kohli had ?100.72 crore.

11 - Vin Diesel Tops Forbes List of 2017’s Top-Grossing Actors

According to Forbes annual list, Vin Diesel is the top grossing actor in the world with $1.6 billion in global ticketing receipts in 2017. Dwayne Johnson, who was last year’s highest paid actor, was ranked second on the list with $1.5 billion. Wonder Woman star Gal Gadot was third in the list with a total of $1.4 billion. Harry Potter star Emma Watson placed fourth with $1.3 billion, while Johnny Depp and Daisy Ridley placed fifth and sixth with $1.1 billion and $1.08 billion respectively.
