1 - Visakhapatnam Gas Leak
The LG Polymers chemical plant in R. R. Venkatapuram village near Gopalapatnam on the outskirts of Visakhapatnam, Andhra Pradesh met a gas leak incident. The incident is referred to as the Visakhapatnam gas leak or Vizag gas leak. The main cause of deaths due to the gas leak is considered to be Styrene Gas.
The Andhra Pradesh state government formed a high-level committee, headed by the Special Chief Secretary (Environment and Forests), to probe into the mishap. The government also announced an ex - gratia payment of ₹one crore each to the kin of those killed in the incident.

The all-women 'Nirbhaya Squad' of the Jaipur police played an important role in COVID-19 containment zones in the Jaipur. The bike-borne squad was trained in martial arts for warding off any threat faced by women. Team of 200 women police personnel carried out flag march in COVID-19 hit areas of wall city of Jaipur
The team is also helped in distributing ration to the needy and supporting medical teams, assisted pregnant women and distributed sanitary napkins to needy women.
3 - Israel named street in Tel Aviv after Rabindranath Tagore
Israel has named a street in Tel Aviv after celebrated Indian poet Rabindranath Tagore as a tribute on his 159th birthday. The street starts right opposite the main gates of Tel Aviv University.
The decision to name a street after Tagore was taken by the Tel Aviv Municipality in 1961. This was done to commemorate the centenary of his birth. Every year, Rabindra Jayanti is celebrated on the 25th day of the Bengali month of Boishakh.
4 - BRO builds tunnel below Chamba town
The Border Roads Organisation achieved a significant milestone by digging up a 440m long tunnel below Chamba town on Rishikesh-Dharasu road (NH 94). The construction of this 6 km road and 450 m tunnel is being done at a cost of Rs. 88 crore.
Char Dham road project aims to connect the char dhams, the four pilgrimage places that are highly revered by the Hindus- Badrinath, Kedarnath, Yamunotri and Gangotri. The total budget of the Char Dham project is Rs 12000 crore.
